COW PASTURE-NAY
I see where Robert Shelton
the supreme nut of the KKK,
doesn’t want people to think his
organization is just a bunch of
nuts who hang in cow pastures. I
agree they don’t hang in cow
pastures - they wade, knee deep.
And no YUK.
RITAVARNADOE
I cannot seem to reach you
via the telephone however, Mrs.
Bibbitt, next door to Bryants’

MR. & MRS. HOME OWNER
Do you employ a cook, cleaning woman or other
domestic worker in your home for one or more
days per week? If so, you are paying them more
than fifty dollars per quarter in wages, and you
should be withholding and paying Social Security
contributions for them. Your failure to do this
denies your employee his right to receive Social
Security benefits for themselves and their
dependents in later years. We urge you to obey the
law and help us to improve human relations in the
Augusta Area.

latest rash of television, tape

Drugs that’s what.
Somebody’s statistics on the

doesn’t jibe with the amount of

Augusta-Richmond County.
These sets have to be fenced

UNICEF Speeds Aid
To West African Children
In an emergency program to
help combat the disastrous
effects of the prolonged
drought upon the health of
of West African
children, the United Nations
Children’s F und has rushed tons
of high-protein food
supplements and medicines to
the six stricken countries,
according to Paul Larsen,
UNICEF Emergency
Operations Coordinator.
The shipments are part of
UNICEF’s emergency relief
program for children and
pregnant mothers of
Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Chad,
Senegal and Upper Volta, to
which the Children’s Fund has
already committed over
51,000.000.
Although latest reports
indicate that other countries
and international agencies are
now supplying sufficient grain
to avert death by starvation on a
massive seal, malnutrition,
dehydration and greater
susceptibility to diseases,
particularly, spinal meningitis,
still threaten the lives of these
children.
Here, as it has in Nigeria and
Bangladesh, UNICEF is
concentrating its efforts and
expertise to establish
child-feeding programs, supply
antibiotics and other medicines,
and aid well-digging projects to
increase the availability of clean
dringking water. By September,
it is anticipated that 72,000
pre-school children and
pregnant or nursing mothers
will be receiving daily
allotments of CSM, a mixture of
corn, soya and milk that
supplies sufficient protein to
meet the body needs. K-Mix-11,
until St. Peter says, “For
Heaven’s sake, Bobby, come in
or stay out!”
