Sullivan, Founder and
Chairman of the OICs of
America, announced the

birthplace of QIC.
“With the creation of the
Academy,” Dr. Sullivan said,

efforts will be our success in

He stated that the breadth
of training proposed of
necessity must include
manpower training
management, entrepreneural
management education, as well
as special management training
for private business. He said
that he felt the latter was so
important because the next
significant thrust of our effort
will have to include business
development for the inner city
and other economically
depressed areas, along with
training in manpower skills.
“It is important”, Dr.
sullivan emphasized, “that
there be created over the next
thirty years a ‘Self-help’
process to foster management
training in manpower, and
community investment
porgrams, such as the 10-36
Plan, to assist in the
reconstruction of American
inner cities; physically,
economically, psychologically
and morally. The step I
envision necessary towards
achievement of our goals must
be the creation of the

Not Augusta’s New Ones
The city of Augusta

Monday October Ist.
Augusta Mayor Lewis A.

these buses are better than

what we have now, but they
are definitely not the new

look ten times better and have
air conditioning and really be
first class transportation.”
The new buses, 30 of them,
will arrive in the city
approximately nine month

remain at 25 cents, according
to the Mayor.
After assuming control of
the Augusta Coach Co., it was
noted there would be no major
changes for the first several

it pretty much the same as its
being run now. We have made
some salary adjustments for
the personnel who are pretty
much the same people,”
Newman said.

the city limits. We’re not going
to change any routes for the
first three months or so.
Possibly the fitst of the year
we will make some changes
based on the needs of the
people and based primarily on
a survey we have made which
shows the areas that have the
best ridership.”
In concluding Mayor
Newman said, “I have heard
rumors we were extending
routes to North Augusta. We
