Fox for a fox ... and “The Pearl”, Earl Monroe, is more than cunning when he
offers his shoulder to dream on. He knows the way to a girls heart is quiet affection
and understanding, patience and little tokens of endearment like this full length cape
of wool with Black Norwegian fox trimming the hood. She appreciates his good
taste in fashion, in cars (his 1927 Packard is indeed chic), and his good looks in a
midi version of the foxy look for the man who’s all man! Both coats by Calvin
Klein, New York City. As seen in the November issue of Essence Magazine.

A 1932 Caddy Roadster never breaks down ... it just
conveniently comes to a stop in a romantic setting like
this when Dean Meminger asks to take a closer look, and
get a better feel of what it’s like to be covered from
head to toe in white wool and white fox by Cuddlecoat.
A lady never goes riding in a priceless automobile
without being equally distracting, but Dean’s taste is
more conservative and Calvin Klein’s brown
houndstooth coat suits him fine. As seen in the
November issue of Essence magazine.

to stitch up pretty metallics

Dean Meminger, to snuggle up

Off the court, “Clyde” Frazier does a lot oi courting, too, and seems to have this
play down. He’s stopped in a quiet, secluded spot to sport his full lenght ranch mink
coat and capture a mood. His 1923 Hudson isn’t passe, it’s elegant. And, so is his
choice of a matching mink for his woman of the hour. Both coats by Ben Kahn,
New York City, to order only. As seen in the November issue of Essence magazine.
Billy Preston Completes
Tour With Rolling Stones
Billy Preston has returned
home after several weeks of
excitement in Europe, where
he was on tour with the
Rolling Stones. Now, Billy is
planning a recording session
with the “Genious of Soul’
himself, Mr. Ray Charles. Bill
and Ray will go into the studio
the first part of January.
Cheech & Chong gave a
swinging teeny-bob Halloween
party at the L.A. Roxy Theatre
The Augusta News-Review - November 15, 1973
this past Oct. 31st. To the
delight of a full house of
young, costumed fans, they
passed out an abundance of
Cheech & Chong T-shirts, toys
and prizes from swinging
pinatas. In addition, food and
drink for both children and
parents were provided, buffet
style. There was even an organ
grinder with a live monkey
who begrudgingly shook hands
with the excited youngsters.
Also on the set, (along with her
family), was noted celebrity
Carole King and Lou Adler. All
had a ball!
Our own Quincy Jones has
written the theme song for
Walter Burrell’s brand, new,
nationally syndicated radio
show. Those in the Los Angeles
area can listen in beginning
November 12th on XPRS for
taped interviews of all your
favorite entertainment people,
along with the music of Quincy
Jones.
