SUMMER’S
TERROR—
It isn’t the discomfort from
heat. It is the danger to your
children from bowel disorders
induced by eating unripe fruit
or drinking iced water. For
that matter, children are not
the only ones who suffer.
To check summer complaint
and diarrhoea use Curry’s
Diarrhoea and Dysentery Spe
cific. It is agreeably spiced
and prompt in effect. It’
strong enough for grown folks
but not so ugly thatlyou have
to bribe a child to take it.
Price,<25 Cents,

Wm. A. Camp was born Oot. 16, 1830;

Baptist ohnreh in 1853, and ordained to
tho ministry in Botblohem ohuroh, in

Mr. Gamp entered tho war in 1808
and bravely served his oountry until
the oloso of tho great struggle between
the Btatcs, after whioh he was honora
bly discharged.
As far as the writer can learn, he ijad
always been a quiet, upright Ohristinn
gentleman without an onomy, bat ev
erybody loved “Uncle Billie,” as ho
was often oalled. Ho had a kind word
for all, and was always shown the kind
est regard by those he met. Bat on
the morning of his birthday, at about
the honr of his birth, whioh marked
him 04, the word wae spoken from
whioh there is no appeal: “It is
onoagb; come up higher."
Brother Camp has gono to that beau-
tifal land where ho will not need the
light of tho snn to guide his footsteps
over tho Elysian plains of heaven; for
the smiles of Jcsns will bo snfQoient to
illuminate the pathway of the blest.
To the friends and relatives ,wo say,
be faithful and go on, and ere long the
distant hill of Canaan will loom up
into your view, and you will bo ena
bled to exolaim, "I am almost home.”
And tho vessel will glide swiftly over
earth’s stormy waves and land you

FRANK AND TRUTHFUL.
It is soldom a Northern paper has any
regard for truth when it Bpoaks of tho
race question in tho South, but tho
Obieago Herald is au exception to tho
rule. That papor is frank enough to
say:
“Forty yours ago tho negro wob a
slave;, today ho is a problem. Tho
South disfranchises him and lynohos
him; the North lynches him and buys
his franohiso. Of tho two tho North
uses him the worse. The South under
stands the negro better than tho North,
and, on tho whole, treats him better.
It at least gives him what ho most
needs—employment,and gives it freely.
But his ohanoos in tho North grow

'"'"These are sv/eet words, but how much
pain and suffering they used to mean. It’s
different now. Since Mother's Friend has
become known expectant mothers have
been spared much of the anguish of child
birth. Mother’s Friend Is a liniment to be
applied externally: It Is rubbed thoroughly
into the muscles of the abdomen. It gives
elasticity and strength, and when the final
great strain comes they respond quickly and
easily without pain. Mother's Friend Is
never taken Internally. Internal remedies
at this time do more harm than good. If a
woman Is supplied with this splendid lini
ment she need never fear rising or swelling
breasts, morning sickpess, or any of the
discomforts which usually accompany preg
