SUMMER’S
TERROR —.
It isn't the discomfort from
heat. It is the danger to your
children from bowel disorders
induced'by eating unripe .fruit
or drinking iced water. For
that matter, children are not
the only ones who suffer.
1 o check summer complaint

Diarrhoea and Dysentery Spe

ABOUT 4,500 PEOPLE
IN C6DARTOWN WITHIN ONF. MILE
OF COURT HOUSE.
2.823 People Inaido of City Llinlta.
Polk County Has 17,850.
Largo lnoreneo.
Ten years ago the population
of Cetlartown was 1,625.
Today it. is exactly 2,8281
These figures refer to the exact
limits of the city, which vary
from one-half to three-fourths of
a mile from the Court House as
the center of the city’s corporate
limits.
The boundary limit is very ir
regular, and although circular in
form, the corporation line has fol
lowed the property interests of
some and zigzagged about to suit
the whims of others.
But within a radius of one
mile of the Court. House there
are fully 4,600 people, nnd they
are just as much a part of Cedar-
town proper as Main street or
West avenue. It will be re
membered that the. two big cot
ton mills of the Oednrtown Cot
ton Company, the Walmeta
Knitting Mill, the now Josephine
Mills, the cotton gin and all
the business houses, residences
and tenement houses of those
mills are outside the corporate
limits,as are the Standard Cotton
Mill and q number of tenement
houses and residences in East-
view." These settlements embrace
at least 1,600 people, besides a
number of families just outside
of the city limits in the Stewart.
& Davenport addition and else
where around the city line.
These people do their trading in
town and are as much a part, of
our city ns if they resided only a
few feet nearer the Court House
But Oedurtown’s population has
increased nearly 74 per cent in ten
years, and the record of her
wonderful growth in a decade is
seen in this phenomenal inerense
in her population!
POLK COUNTY.
Ten years ago Polk county’s
population was 14,046.
Today it is 17,866!
An increase of 2,011, or nearly
20 per cent.
Out of the thirteen counties in
the Seventh district, Polk lends
all in her per cent of increase.
Walker comes, next with over 17
per cent, Floyd with 18, Cobb
with .10, and on down to Dade,
which sustains a 1 loss of over 10
per cent.
The city of Rome has only
7,201 population.

Mr. H. H. Blaok, tho well-known vil

been that we have feared many times
that he woald die. We have had the
doetbr and used many modioines, but
Chamberlain’s Congh Remedy is now
our sole reliance. It seems to dissolve
the tough muous, and by giving fre

dreaded oroup is cured before it gets
settled.” There is ho danger in giving
