The Daughters of tha Confederacy are taking a lively interest in the matter of raising funds for the com ing Firemen’s Tournament, and are arranging to give a big dinner for that purpose on Wednesday, the 27th Inst. Hubbard, one of our clever citizens who is engaged in saw- milling at Esom Hill, met with a painful accident Friday. He had been out hunting with a party and was sittLng on the counter at his commissary, when a gun fell and was discharged. The contents went into both his ankles, inflicting serious injuries.
