CAUSE OF THE WRECK Freight train No. 22 was just tak ing the siding for pasteugier train No. 3S, going east to Atlanta from Birm ingham, when twenty freight cars broke loos? and ran down giade for a mile towards No. 38. His mangled body was taken out n*?xl day, and taken to Atlanta and pre pared for burial. He leaves a wodow, who was Miss Ola Wright, daughter of Mrs. Miller A. Wright, and two little children, Sara and Miller, five and two years old respectively. The remains of Mr. Hudgins weie brought hero Sunday from Atlanta, and funeral service* ware conducted at the family residence oil Herbert street by Rev. H. M. Qullliam, assisted by Rev. H. B. Th onus', of “Cartersville. A large number of friends attended these sad rites, a delegation, of com rades from the Brotherhood of loco motive Engineers acting as pall-bear ers. Many beautiful floral offerings testified of his popularity, and his mortal remains were laid to rest in Greenwood/ cemetery. Charley Hudgins was an excellent gentleman, a loyal friend, and a de voted hua’.and and father. And many will deeply deplore Iris tragic and untimely death, PASTOR CALLER.
