The introductory sermon was preached by Elder Hatch. His sermon was a plaiy, logical talk on obedience, followed by Elder Sam- ford, of Silver Creek, on the same line of thought. Both sermons were to the point, setting forth the doctrine of the Primitive Baptist church. After fifteen minutes intermission the church re-assemblcd in the house for the ordinance of foot washing. Elder Hamrick gave a short talk on foot washing. He said, among other things, that he washed feet because Christ told him to. He said he en joyed this ordinance more than any other. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. After the footwashing came a bountl ful dinner, enjoyed alike by all.
