I^et us hope that they will plant plenty of melons and ground peas. Mr. Charles Campbell, of Rockmart, was in our village Sunday. Messrs. Jas. Hammond and J. C. Ferguson were in Rockmart Friday night. Quite a crowd enjoyed the Anniver sary supper Saturday night given by Aragon Lodge, No. 37, I. O. O. F. All Odd Fellows, their wives, children and friends were Invited. All had a good time, .and everything passed off nicely. Lit the good work go on, boys. Miss Inez Auchmutey, of Piedmont institute,visited her parents here Sat urday and Sunday. Mr. J. \V. Rutland, manager of the Aragon Store, was In Rome on bus iness Friday. Mr. Charley Simpson and wife visit ed their father, Mr. .1. M. Lawson, here Sunday. The death of Mrs. Frank Pollard was a shock to the whole community. She died suddenly Saturday morning, leaving a husband and four children. She was a good woman and will he missed in Aragon. Her remains were interred at the Aragon cemetery after funeral services at the Baptist church Sunday afternoon. Let all the people in Aragon remem her that we have Sunday school at the Baptist church every Sunday mor lug. Why don’t you all come? Mr. Paul W. Jones, of Cedartown, was in our village one day last week. Dr. T. E. McBryde, of Rockmart, was here on business one day Inst week. Mr. R. M. Brumbolow was In Rock mart Friday on business. Mr. Tom Morgan, of Rockmart, was in Aragon one day last week. Goo Allen and family, of Rockmart, visited Charley Wllkerson and family Saturday night and Sunday. Miss Marie Lnwson was visiting friends at Taylorsville last week. The many friends of Dock Ingle, who has been sick for some time, are glnd to see him up again. * Henry lllcks has opened up a re*- tuuraut and grocery store near the cement plant. There are several cases of measles In Aragon now, but not. so many as there once was. With the exception of this the health Is good. Mr. Edge, of Rockmart, was In our village one day last week. Several of our young people wdnt picnicking at Deaton’s Cave Saturday, and report u nice time. J. H. Pierce, the engineer at Ara gon Mills, was In Atlanta Saturday night and Sunday. The Foreign Mission board will meet at Bellevlew church the first Sunday in May to hold meetings for the benefit of this settlement; also, to try to establish a Sabbath School. Everybody invited. The Board of Directors concerned in the phonograph business met at Fish Saturday, where they made ar rangements for a 30 x 50 hall for musical entertainments only. Mr. Thos. J. Morris was shaking hands with friends at Estes Chapel Sunday. Mr. M. J. Garrett left Monday for Kingston. Mr. Alexander Carmichael, of New I Hampshire, was the guest of Mr. C. D. Camp Sunday. Messrs.
