Miss Anna Lou Wood, the young daughter of Mr. C. A. Wood, was driv ing the family mare in his buggy, with Mrs. E. S. Ault. Just as they crossed the College street bridge go ing south, one side of the shaft dropped on the heels of the animal which seems to have frightened her. The mare dashed across the vacant lot and came out the alley Into Main street north of the Ware residence, the buggy striking a telephone post and completely demolishing the ve hicle. The ladles were thrown out. violently on their faces fully twenty feet to the middle of Mnin street. They were both picked up unconscious and carried into the Right House, where several physicians were hastily summoned. Their faces were lacer ated and their bodies badly bruised, but fortunately no more serious in juries were received further than the awful shock. Their escape from in stant. death was almost miraculous, and their host of friends ate rejoiced that the casualty was not more dis astrous. MORRIS—IIKKN BON.
