That they, their associates, sue cessorH and assigns desire to be in corporated under the laws of Georgia for the purposes hereinafter stated for the period of fifty years with the privilege of renewal at the end of that time. 2d.That the name of said corpora tion shall be THE GEORGIA FIRE INSURANCE*COMPANY, with a cap ital stock of one hundred thousand dollars. The purpose of said corpora tion being to carry on the business of fire insurance according to the terms of this charter and rules and by-laws they may hereafter adopt not in con flict with the constitution and laws of the state of Georgia. 3d. M Cornelius is Improving after a tussl with the measles. Reader A Narrow Escape. G. W. Cloyd, a merchant, of Plunk Mo., had a narrow escape four years ugo, when he ran a jlmson bur into his thumb. Mr. Jim Hammond has been on the sick Hut the past week, but wus able to go to Stilesboro picnic Saturday. Mr. J. W. Rutland was in Rockmart on business Friday. Mr. White, of New York, one of the stockholders of the Aragon Mills, spent last week here. Messrs. Dock Ingle and John Collum spent part of last week in Cassville. I noticed in the last issue of The Standard where my good friend,Pedro, of the west end of the county that Judge Irwin had run the blind tigers in their holes. There has got he some of that kind of work done around Aragon, or the good people and their families will have to shut the doors and stay inside; hut the people must know that Judge Irwin can't do It all by himself. Let us all try to help him. By doing so we will help ourselves. Sam Davltte was in Rockmart Thursday. Squire A. W. Farrer and family visited relatives in Cedartown Sunday. Mr. J. W.
