R. Hutchens and family have been spending the week with relatives at Tallapoosa. IN HONOR OF MD48 EVANS. Mrs. S. S. Evans was the hospit able hostess Friday afternoon at an elegant and largely attended reception given in honor of her sister, Miss Sarah Evans of Philadelphia. The gues s were received on the pretty lawn, und the hostess was assisted in entertaining by Mesdames J. Wright Adamson. W. C. Bunn, A. C. Cobb, P. C. Harris and E. B. Russell and Miss Kate Booz. Punch was served on the verandah by Misses Gussie Houseal and Adele Waddell, and the delicious refreshments in the dining room by Misses Kittle Bunn, Shirley and Margaret Sims. The rooms and the verandah were beautifully deco rated with plants nd flowers. Much amusement was created by each guest having to discover, by ask ing questions as to her characteristics, the name of some famous woman pinned upon her back, and the oc casion was greatly enjoyed.
