Felton Mundy is serving his first term In the Georgia Legislature ns the Representative of Polli county In the House of Representative a, but there are.none of the ear-marks of the flnt-term legislator about Mr. Mundy to distinguish him from those of riper experience In point of years of serv ice. Mr. Mundy is a valuable repre sentative both to his county and the state at large. He was born near Rockmart, Polk county, November 19, 1879. and was rested on a farm. His father died niN left the young man In his early manhood charged with the responsi bility of providing for and becoming the head of a family of seven, a sacred duty which he has ably dis charged. Mr. Mundy was educated at Pied mont Institute, Rockmart. completing his education at Mercer University, where he took the degress of A. It. and L. L. II. He was graduated from (that Institution in 1905. receiving his law diploma In 1904 and completing the literary course In 1905. On June 10, 1905, Mr. Mundy form ed a law partnership with his broth er.W. W. Mundy,under the firm name of Mundy & Mundy, and the subject of this sketch has since conducted the office at Rockmart with marked ab ility and success. He was elected to the Legislature by a magnificent ma jority over strong opposition. Speaker Slaton's assignment of this Legl Litor to the most important com mittees of the House bespeaks the measure in whieh his ability Is held. He was married June 12, 19"7, to Miss Minnie Allgood, and makes his home at the pretty little to Rockmart Atlanta Journal. Leigh, former member of the legislature from Cowetu county, leaves here to make addresses at sixteen ed- ucatonal rallies of the Farmers' union, In as many different counties. Mr. Ijcigli is a prominent member of the union, and was one of Coweta's del egates at the recent annual conven tion held In Atlantu, where he was chairman of the committee which pre pared the report against foreign Im migration. Mr. Leigh is one of the largest farmers in Georgia, and is a forct ful speaker.
