They will soon elect a warehouse manager. HENDERSON MINING CO. A now mining concern has opened p a rich hnnk of iron ore about r.!f a mile south of Young's station, and a lot of good ore will be mined and sold. * Messrs. A. E. Young and H. N. VuuDevandor are the gentlemen oper ating the mining plant, and they will \elop the property fully. The washer Is rapidly going up,and tho plant is to be well equipped for turning out nil the ore available, good forco of hands will bo employ and a nice payroll maintained. Mr. VanDevander Is an experienced miner and a fine civil engineer, and Is In charge as general manager of the Industry. SPECIAL ELECTION SATURDAY. There Is no opposition, of course, to Mr. Ross H. Mnrchman, the White Primary nominee for County Treas urer, in the special election to be held next Saturday to fill the vacancy caused by the death of tho lato Mr. W H. Reeves. Nevertheless, all good cit izens should make. It a point to turn out and vote for him. It Is a duty you owe to good citizenship. Don’t forget the date—next Satur day, the 17th Inst.- aud be sure to go to the polls and cast your ballots for Mr. Marchmnn. A WELCOME VISITOR. Hon. Gordon Lee, the popular Con gressman from the Seventh, was shak ing hands with his Polk county con stituents Friday. They regard him as an especially able Representative, and feel particularly close to him because of the fact that he Is himself a farmer and business man.
