Adamson arrived Satur day night from Philadelphia, having been called here by tho death of his mother, Mrs. Thos. Adamson/ Miss Annie Pope Allen, a student at LaGrange Female College, came up Friday to spend the holiday vacation with her parents, Rev. and Mrs. B. P. Allen. Mr. Ruel A. Hunt, who holds the responsible position of mechanical 'en gineer for the big phosphate mines at Mt. Pleasant, Tenn., Is home for the holidays. The Cotillion Club will give a big Christmas ball this evening at the Armory, at which the music will be furnished by SafferB’ Orchestra from Chattanooga. Mesdames G. F. and A. M. Ed wards, of Mllledgevllle, arrived Sat urday to spend a few days as the guests of their parents, Col. and Mrs. W. P. West. Mrs. T. H.Booz and daughter, Miss Elizabeth, left Monday to spend a few weeks as the guests of their daughter and sister, Mrs. A. Willis Evans, in Sandersville.
