We will have the Boys’ Short Course at Roeknmrt at 10 u. ra. Wed nesday, Aug. 9th, for Club boys in the east end of the county, and on Friday, Aug. 11th, at 10 a. m. at the Court House in Cedartown, for the hoys in the west end of the, county; hut I will be very glad if Club boys will attend both days. We will have Prof. Blackcl! of Calhoun, and Prof. W. E. Bowers of Rome, to teach the short course, and every Club member is invited to attend both days if pos sible. The Farm Bureau will meet in Ce dartown at the Court House at 10 a. m., Thursday, Aug. 10th, and we in vite the officers of the Polk County Fnir Association to meet with us; also, the business men and farmers that are interested in the County Fair are urged to be present, so we can elect officers for the Fair, which will be held in Cedartown early in October. Vaughn passed away Sunday morning at the sanitorium at Milledgeville. Funeral services were held here Tuesday by Revs. B. M. Lee, H. T. Oswalt and G. P. Bras well. He was one of Polk’s best cit izens. He leaves to mourn his loss n devoted wife, live children, several brothers and one sister. Miss Jewell Thomas, of Gadsden, spent last week here. Mrs. W.
