The Taylor County News, July 18, 2024, Page 2, v« Lori's views valorl Moore Here we are with another horrific situation that I don’t know how to process and am at a loss as to how to respond So, I’m not trying to add any commentary to the events* this is just for the sake of posterity. Saturday evening, there was an assassination attempt on the life of former President and Republican Presidential Nominee Donald J. Trump. I was watching that rally in Butler; PA live, and saw the whole thing. As many, many people witnessed, it was a few moments of just total disbelief. It was like the world went silent for a minute. My brain couldn’t comprehend what I had just seen. While we know what happened, we don’t know why or how this happened, and we may never know, Right now, ] think we need some facts-not opinions {and J say that as 1 offer my opinion. Hypocritical, I hope not. Confused, absolutely!) In a matter of minutes, we w ent from disbelief as the event oc curred. to extreme relief and joy as Trump stood up and pumped his fist, to utter grief, anger, and sadness as a fine, patriotic, God-fearing firefighter, husband, and girl-dad lost his life pro tecting his family and two others were critically injured (thank fully. they are now' stable, according to reports). Now, it’s back to confusion and disbelief as all the opinions and conspiracies surface. Some folks are attempting to tamp down the political rhetoric, while others are fanning the flames. There are many things that don't add up, and there are many ways this should have been prevented. But, right now, we don’t know how or why. Many on social media think they know, but I truly don’t know r , 1 just know it’s a sad time for the United States of America. God heal and bless our beloved nation and its people! To The Light ~&oIf) wade Third World June 16, 2015, 11:27 AM the American Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) News headlined a story: "Donald Tru mp Announces 2016 Presidential Campaign: ‘We Are Going Make our Country Great Again.”’ ABC wrote, “Do nald Trump, the real estate mogul, reality television star and hair icon, today announced he is taking his first run at the White House.” Obviously, that media giant did not appreciate the Republican’s political aspiration and goal. The Democrats expected a cakewalk win for their can didate. Polling numbers in the summer of 2016 posted by the Republican “hair icon" alarmed the Grand Poohbahs of America's Deep State (entrenched federal bureaucracies). Those polls made their Trump Derangement Syndrome worse. They began a frantic fortification of their fiefdoms should their anointed candidate (the Democrat) lose the election, example the FBI’s Operation Crossfire Hurri cane. Trump won! Election night in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ AD 2016 America’s “news ' industry switched from reporting who, what, when, where, and why of daily events into the propaganda ministry of the Democrat Party. The triad (disappointed Democrats, Deep State poohbahs, and the news industry) went full bore vitriolic toward Trump. Sy nonyms for vitriolic are malicious, venomous, hateful. They concentrated their efforts on demonizing Donald Trump. Between 2017 and 2020 the triad was unrelen ting in characterizing Trump as evil incarnate and his every presidential act criminal or wicked. After the 2020 election they shifted to destroying the ex-president to prevent his return to politics in 2024. In 2023 this pundit quit consuming news because of the destroy-Trump campaign. Equating President Trump to Adolf Hitler was an incitement to violence. President Bi- den’s, US Senators’, and the incessant news media's bit terness designed to prevent Trump’s reelection in 2024 pushed hot buttons of people across the political and civil spectrum! Declaring him a threat to democracy was befit ting of a third world banana republic. Media site Vox on July 1 wrote, "For a fractious coalition that at times seems to be held together with spit, baling wire, and old memories of Barack Obama, the Democratic Party has a remarkably singular message: Donald Trump is an existential threat to the country. “For the Biden campaign, the existential threat to de mocracy has become the overriding theme in his bid for reelect ion, ‘There is one existential threat: It's Donald Trump," Biden said at a fundraiser in February.” Last week President Biden reiterated. Trump is a threat to democracy. ” Seven and one-half years of anti-Trump hatefulness had consequences. I did not see his message until 9 o’clock while waiting for son Bryan to come over and help with a project. I visited the Associated Press’s website online. That bastion of woke journalism’s website lead story was a report about the Russia-Ukraine war! The shooting of President Trump was further down the page, USA Today's Natalie Neysa Alund at 9:51 PM Saturday reported in a minor article on the website, “6:11 p.m, — As Trump spoke to the audience, the suspected shooter fired multiple shots toward the stage and Trump grabbed his ear. then dropped [to] the ground and someone could be heard saying, ‘shots shots shots.’” A twenty-year-old shoo ter shot three Republicans, one died, two remain alive at this writing. Minutes later, Mississippi Democrat Congressman Ben nie Thompson’s staffer Jacqueline Marsaw, who descri bed herself as “a diehard Democrat,” went on Facebook writing, “1 don’t condone violence but please get you Some shooting lessons so you don't miss next time...” For someone that does not “condone violence” asking psycho paths to brush-up on their shooting skills so they can murder President Trump and his supporters with a rifle sounds horrifically violent to me! Her boss according to Internet search engine Micro soft Start. “In mid-April, Mississippi congressman and ranking member of the House Committee on Homeland Security. Representative Bennie Thompson, introduced legislation designed to strip convicted felons sentenced to prison of Secret Service protection. It was co-sponsored by several other Democrat lawmakers.” (Thompson's bill has yet to become law and the kangaroo court conviction [third world country politics] would not strip Trump of his government protective detail.) Saturday night Republican Mississippians took excep tion to Marsaw’s rallying cry for the murder of the "hair icon,” They complained to the congressman’s office. Media The Natchez Democrat reported “...after being asked to do so by a manager on Thompson's staff...” Marsaw removed her encouragement to America’s psychopaths to kill Mr. Trump. Surprisingly, Congressman Thompson later Sa turday night terminated Marsaw’s employment. We Americans need to pray for a change in our national body politic and news media! TIRES!!! All Major Brands! Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) By Billy Powell On Halloween night in 1967, Beverly, Bill (age 9), Tim (age 3), and I returned home from the Halloween Carni val in downtown Fort Valley. We walked out to see the Halloween display placed near the highway by Beverly. Suddenly, a UFO appeared overhead. Since it was nearly dark, we couldn’t make out what it was. It was unnerving while it hovered overhead. We ran to the house as fast as we could. We were afraid the aliens would draw us up into their space craft. Suddenly, the space-craft quickly moved away. To this day, we don’t know what it was. It was too large to be a helicopter. Was it a spacecraft from outer space or an experimental aircraft from planet Earth? Two movies “Close Encounters of a Third Kind and “ET” exploited the theme of alien visitors. In 1938, Or son Wells broadcast a fictional invasion of New Jersey by Martians. So realistic was the radio broadcast that thousands of alarmed listeners flooded authorities with calls. People have reported seeing strange objects in the sky for hundreds of years. Since World War TL there have been thousands of UFO sightings. Many UFO reports have logical explanations such as weather balloons, me teors, planets, or mirages caused by weather conditions. An alien spacecraft reportedly crashed in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947. but its investigation was kept secret by the U.S. government. The Air Force, under Project Blue Book, conducted investigations of all UFOs from 1947 to 1969, Of 12,618 reported sightings, 701 remain Unsolved and unidentified. The Air Force concluded the sightings posed no threat to national security. Acknowledging the possibility of alien life in the universe, the U.S, Congress in 1992 directed NASA to begin monitoring artificial ra dio signals from outer space to determine if another civili zation was attempting to communicate with us. The first recorded UFO in Biblical history was the Star of Bethlehem, Halley’s Bible Handbook states that “the star the wise men saw was a supernatural light, which bv a direct act of God, went before them and pointed out the exact place where the Christ child resided.” Stars are seen in the distant heavens; they do not hoover above the earth as the Star of Bethlehem. Another UFO was seen by Elisha when a chariot of fire suddenly appeared in the sky and carried his companion, Elijah, on a whirlwind into heaven. A mystical passage in the Bible implies the visitation of space aliens. Genesis 6.4 reads: “There were giants in the earth in those days; and after that, when the 'sons of God’ came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them.” There is a popular view that the “sons of God" were either fallen angels or space aliens who bred with the women of earth. How did they get here? Bible schol ar. Barry Downing, firmly believes that extraterrestrial beings came to earth in flying saucers, and wrote a book “The Bible and Flying Saucers.” The earth is a small, insignificant speck in a vast uni verse containing billions of galaxies. Is it incomprehen sible that intelligent life exists in outer space, possibly civilizations far superior to our own who have mastered the science of inter-galactic travel?
