The Taylor County News, July 25, 2024, Page 2. Valor’s Views EU Valori Moore A gazillion kudos to the law enforcement in Lee County, Al abama! They have done a magnificent thing! Seventeen men (no, that’s not right! It should be seventeen perverted animals) are now in jail! Hallelujah! These seventeen ignoramuses (or is it ignorami, either way, there’s no word in existence to describe how vile and repulsive they are) fell into a big ol‘ fat trap! The Lee County Sheriffs Office, Opelika Police Department, DA’s Office, and Covenant Rescue Group got together and con ducted a very successful undercover sting operation. They went online to chat groups, posing as a 15 year old girl. They chatted with 249 fools who were interested in the girl. [Can you even believe that there are that many perverted idiots out there, and that doesn’t even scratch the surface. This was just ONE girl (so they thought) for them to hit on.) Well, of those 249, 17 actually made the trip to a Lee County, AL motel to meet up with the "girl." I wish I could have seen the look on their mon strous faces when they knocked on that motel room door, fully To The Light EU Bob wade Baghdad Bob Wikipedia tells us, “Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf...is an Iraqi former diplomat and politician. He served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1992 to 2001. He came to worldwide prominence around the 2003 invasion of Iraq, during which he was the Minister of Information under Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, acting as spokesman for the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party and Saddam’s government... Al-Sahhaf is known for his daily press briefings in Baghdad during the 2003 invasion of Iraq. His colorful appearances caused him to be nicknamed 'Baghdad Bob’ (in the style of previous propagandists with geographical aliases—some of them alliterative, such as 'Hanoi Hannah’ and ‘Seoul City Sue) by commentators in the United States. He was nicknamed ‘Comical Ali' by commentators in the United Kingdom; commentators in Italy similarly nicknamed him 'Ali il Comico.’ These nicknames were given because he made statements about the conflict that were wildly at odds with reality, and western media treated him as a parody during the initial stages of the Iraq War.” Wikipedia continued, “His pronouncements included claims that American soldiers were committing suicide ‘by the hundreds’ outside the city, and denial that there were any American tanks in Baghdad, when in fact they were only several hundred meters away from the press conference where he was speaking and the combat sounds of nearing American troops could already be heard in the background...His last public appearance as Information Minister was on 8 April 2003, when he said that the Americans ‘are going to surrender or be burned in their tanks. They will surrender; it is they who will surrender'. When asked where he had gotten his information, he replied, ‘authentic sources—many authentic sources’. He pointed out that he ‘was a professional, doing his job'. Wikipedia tells us in its Al-Sahhaf profile, “US intelligence analysts later concluded that Al-Sahhaf confidently made false statements because he genuinely believed in what he was saying. As the American forces approached Baghdad, the Iraqi army falsely reported that they had successfully counterattacked US forces, destroying numerous tanks and killing hundreds of American troops. Army Col. Steve Boltz, the deputy chief of intelligence for V Corps, expressed that they held the belief that Al- Sahhaf sincerely held the information he reported to be true. Boltz theorized that because Saddam’s regime was known for frequently punishing those who delivered bad news, military officers would fabricate reports about the battlefield situation. This systemic self-deception within the Iraqi hierarchy led to a surprising lack of awareness when the Americans entered the capital, with some captured Iraqi officers later bewilderingly admitting that they had no idea that the US forces had been so close.” Hum, consider this February 22, 2017, MSNBC’s Scripture Of The Week Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: i will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Let's do this again and again, until we get them all off the streets and off the internet! There’s no telling how many innocent children they saved with this move! The ICAC (In ternet Crime Against Children) Task Force reports that online enticement of children has increased by more than 300% from 2021 to 2023. How horrific! Law enforcement officers are working very hard to combat these statistics, but we have to do our part, too! Here’s what they say we should do: speak with children about online preda tors, monitor their internet use (know what platforms they are using and who is on the other end), and report suspicious activi ty to ICAC. Just be vigilant. And, looks can be deceiving, some of these disgusting criminals look like criminals, but others look like your dad or granddad (if they are even using their own pic tures). Be careful, folks! The internet is a scary place. Let’s do all we can to protect our babies! “Morning Joe” segment bashing of President Trump and his MAGA supporters. Scarborough telling what common folk told him, "... They go yeah you guys are going crazy, what are you so surprised about? He’s doing exactly what he said he's going to do.” Co-host Mika Brzezinski: “Well and I think that the dangerous edges here are that he’s trying to undermine the media, trying to make up his own facts and it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsens, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly ivhat people think and that is our job! [emphasis added].” Ugh, Brzezinski and her cohorts are no different than Baghdad Bob. November 16th, in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ 2018, Investor’s Business Daily titled an editorial, Media Bias: Pretty Much All of Journalism Now Leans Left, Study Shows. Researchers at the Universities of Arizona State and Texas A&M wrote, “Ask journalists, and they’ll likely tell you they play things right down the middle. They strive to be ‘fair.' They’re ‘centrists.' Sorry, not true. The profound leftward ideological bias of the Big Media is the main reason why America now seems saturated with ‘fake news.' Journalists, besotted with their own ideology, are no longer able to recognize their own bias.” The editorial concluded: “A Reader Turn Off? “Bad news for journalists, and bad news for journalism. Because as Americans continue down their path of growing mistrust of the mainstream media, they will start looking for alternatives. "Will they find new, more trustworthy sources of news? Or will they just turn it off entirely? Either one isn’t good for journalists, or good for America. “It’s time the journalistic mainstream addresses this problem. Smug denial is no longer an option..." Baghdad Bob must be advising CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, Reuters, and AP; they along with Brzezinski believe they “can actually control exactly what people think.” YARD SALE Clothing SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE! Connie Brown: 706.573.7366 cmsbrown64@gmail.com I Peter 3:18 -19 speaks of Jesus descending into Hades between his death on the cross and his resurrection to preach to “the spirits in prison" who were imprisoned in Hades. Jesus entered the paradise compartment of Ha des better known as Abraham’s Bosom, which was the abode of the beggar Lazarus (Luke 16: 23) and the Old Testament saints. Jesus is thought to have preached only to the righteous who had never heard the gospel message so they might repent and be led out of Hades into the paradise of God. I Peter 4: 5-6 sheds additional insight on this passage: “They will give account to Him (Jesus) who is ready to judge the living and the dead. For this is why the gospel was preached even to the dead, that though judged in the flesh like men, they might live in the spirit like God.” The Catholic faith, Catechism 633, teaches that those who awaited their Savior in “Abraham’s Bosom” were de livered from Hades. Hades was thought to be divided into two compartments: (1) Paradise or Abraham’s Bosom for the righteous, and (2) Gehenna, the abode of the wicked. The clue that Jesus would descent into Hades to release the captives imprisoned there came early in His public ministry when he went to the synagogue in Nazareth to worship. He stood up to read from Isaiah 61. One passage Jesus read was: “He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives.” Ephesians 4: 8-10 states that Jesus “descended into the lower parts of the earth,” and “when he ascended on high, he led a host of captives.” Jesus emptied the “paradise side of Hades” and carried the souls of the righteous dead with him into heaven. Thus, the paradise portion of Ha des was forever moved to heaven. From henceforth every believer, when departing this life, instead of going to the upper compartment of Hades (Paradise or Abraham’s Bosom) is now ushered into the presence of the Lord in heaven. Consequently, the lower compartment of Hades (Gehenna) remains intact. The wicked dead will be confined there until they are resur rected for the final judgment cited in Revelation 20: 11-15. Bible Expositor William Barclay refers to the above pas sages where Jesus preached to the dead between his death and resurrection as the “Gospel of a Second Chance.” Barclay contends that Jesus descended into Hades and preached the gospel to the spirits so they might have a chance to live again in the Spirit of God. The tradition of Christ’s descent into Hades and of the harrowing of hell became an integral part of the church's theology and was incorporated in the Apostles Creed. That Jesus offered salvation to sinners who had died is indicative that the gospel message has no boundaries. Christ’s merciful act is a treasure of the Christian church because it has brought comfort to many a Christian soul, tortured by thoughts of loved ones who in this life have not met Christ and who died ignorant of the gospel message.
