They have almost taken the place of Quin ine acd other remedies, in this section for the cure of Chill and Fever—a disease so anoying to South ern people. In fact such a vast number have been cured, without any unpleasant symptoms as where Qninine is used, that most all Physicians here give them, and recommend the use of tham. I write you this because myself and a number of my family and friends have been effectually cured by your Pills, and we feel it is due to you, to ex press our kindest regards for having furnished us a medicine we deem so indespensable in this country. The House Reconstruction Ceinmitte had under consideration this morning the Geor gia bill as passed by the Senate, and dis cussed it at some length, but without com ing to any conclusion adjourned until Thursday evening. The Star says that as a substitute for the Senate amendment it was proposed to adopt the bill as it was originally reported to the House, with the addition of a clause for the employment of the militia to euforce the laws and preserve order, when such force shall become nescessary, instead of placing the State under military control. Instead of a section as heretofore Udopl of by the Mouse and Senate fixing the terms ed members of the Legislature, it is proposs ed that this question shall be left to judi cial decision. A majority of the Committee At first favored very harsh measures, but after wards toned down somewhat. It is believ ed they will agree upon a bill on Thursday ne&t. Puck. FRFNCII NEWS.
