Sincerely do we sympathise with ids bereaved family in this their affliction. Minutes of previous meeting read and on morion adopted. The following bills were lead before council, and ordered paid: Bill of $15,00 from Kent & CampbeU for paint ing street lamps posts. Bill from J I. Robinson, for services rendered. Through Opt B. B. Bower, attorney, C. H- Par malee entered complaint against the assessment made by council on vacant lots, the property of plaintiff, in tbe Eastern portion of the city, stating thar the assessment was two high. The valuation was marie by council for taxable purposes, to which Mr. Parmaleeobjects. Ck nsid erable discussion was indulged in by the members of the board, after which a reduction was made iu the valuation of property.
