Deputy Lewis reminded them of the importance of being aware of our surroundings and how important it is that you contact the Sheriffs Department if you feel like anything suspicious is going on around your homes or in your neighborhoods. He was very gracious and reminded them that the Sheriff’s office is there to help you and protect you and gave them many good points about how to use the services that they provide. At the end of his talk, President Penny Knight presented him with a cake thanking him for coming and for his service to the community. Special to the Ledger Lindsey Noelle Wil liams and Joshua Isaac Johnson, both of Leesburg, Georgia, exchanged their wed ding vows at Sundown Farms Plantation Chapel in Moultrie, Georgia, on December 15, 2018, at 4 p.m., with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating the ceremony. The bride is the daugh ter of David and Cheryl Williams of Leesburg, GA. The groom is the son of Vickie and Shane Byas of Leesburg, GA and Bill Johnson of Dunwoody, GA. The bride was escorted by her father and was given in marriage by her parents. The bride wore a white princess gown with drop cap lace sleeves, the bodice was adorned with white pearl bead ing and the gown’s skirt cascaded with sheer organza ruffles. She wore a beautiful tiara and her ballet length tulle veil was trimmed with small jewels. For sentiment, she wore a sapphire ring passed down to her by her grandmother, the late Ann Ray. The bride car ried a radiant bouquet of red and white roses with gold ribbon. The maid of honor was Brittney Walkey, sister of the bride, of Kennesaw, GA and junior brides maid was Anna Czito, cousin of the bride, of Raleigh, NC. The bridesmaids carried small bouquets of red and white roses with greenery and gold ribbon. The flower girls wore matching white organza long dresses with red bodice ribbon and back bow and matching prin cess tiaras. They carried white wooden baskets of red rose petals they tossed in the aisle. The bride was honored to wear a beautiful red cloak after the ceremony that her dear friend Rob- bin Steiner made for their Disney themed wedding. The bridesmaids/flower girls also wore white faux fur capes for the pictures and reception. The best man was Aar on Johnson, brother of the groom, of Leesburg, GA. Groomsmen were Matt Banks, friend of the groom, Corey Stewart, brother-in-law of thr groom, Caleb Miller, cousin of the groom, Lee Welch, friend of the groom, and Cameron Williams, brother of the bride, all of Leesburg, GA. The ring bearer was Levi Johnson, brother of the groom, of Dun- woody, GA. The groom wore a navy tuxedo with gold tie and vest. Groomsmen wore navy suit and vest with red ties. The ring bearer wore a gray suit with red bow tie. He car ried the couple’s wedding rings in a white wooden box down the aisle The reception and dinner were held in Sundown Lodge ban quet room and on the beautiful grounds. The DJ/sound technician for the evening was Kurt Baker, of Albany, GA. The newlywed’s honey moon was at the Disney World Parks in Orlando, FL. They now reside in Leesburg, GA. The bride is employed by Mus culoskeletal Associates (MSA) and the groom is employed at B & B Electrical Contractors, Albany, GA. Patterson named to the Troy University Chancellor’s List Amanda Patterson of Leesburg, GA, has been named to the Chancel lor’s List at Troy Uni versity for Term 3 of the 2018/2019 academic year.
