Because a meal will be a sponsored (free) lunch served, reservations are re quired. About 70 students and alumni participated in “Together We,” a perfor mance that takes place in conjunction with TROY’s annual Day of Dance, in which dance students participate in masterclasses with pro fessional working dance alumni. The show ran Feb. 21- 23 and Feb. 24. Focal students who participated included: Zaria Davis of Albany served as Dancer. Emma Twiggs of Feesburg served as Dancer. American Legion Auxiliary Hosts Lady Veterans Luncheon Special to the Ledger Eleven lady veterans were honored Satur day, April 13th with a very special soup and sandwich luncheon hosted by American Legion Auxiliary Albany Unit 30. Ev eryone in attendance enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of fellow ship and getting to hear each lady tell of their experience while serving in the armed forces. Each of the lady veterans received a gift bag filled with items donated by the members of Unit 30. Lady Veterans in at tendance were: Dosha Bentley, Nola Bricker, Connie Davis, Celeste Devoe, Vickie Foun tain, Jeanne Geifer, Donna Krumbholz, Vera McCloud, Reba Moncus, Sandra Re ese, April Scarbrough. Gift bags will also be taken to Milledgeville VA Hospital for five lady veterans there. The American Legion Auxiliary was honored to be able to hosted these lovely ladies and would again like to say to them and to all ser vice men and women, “Thank you for your service to your great country.” The American Legion Auxiliary is the world’s largest women’s patriotic ser vice organization. The auxiliary’s program is one of American ism, the concern for veterans of all wars and conflicts, and to support the American Legion in all programs and services to veter ans and our country. Membership is limited to women who have a personal connection through a member of one’s family who served in the armed forces or through one’s own service.
