Baxter, was charged with pos session of schedule II controlled substance, marijuana - possession/ sell/purchase, posses sion of tools during commission of a crime, drugs - manufacturing/ sell/distribution schedule IV drugs, possession of schedule I controlled substance, drug related objects, dangerous drugs - illegal, sale, distribu tion/possession. Deputy Hollman was dispatched to the area of Charlie Lane in reference to suspicious activity. The deputy attempted to make contact. Baxter fled the scene, but was apprehended by Deputy Hunter. Baxter told the deputies that he had warrants for his arrest. A search of the vehicle Baxter was in resulted in the listed charges. Baxter was transported to the Lee County Jail. Jared Christopher War ren, of Lumpkin Road, Leesburg, was charged with theft by taking. Deputy Pearce made contact with the victim at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. The victim stated that he had let Warren borrow a kayak, but that the kayak was never returned. The victim showed the deputy a Facebook post were Warren was attempting to sell the kayak along with other property that did not belong to him. The deputy also found a Facebook post were War ren was attempting to sell a Lee County street sign for $50. The deputy made contact with War ren and he admitted that he obtained the kayak from the victim. Devorriss Antwan Haynes of Tift Ave., Al bany, was charged with burglary 2nd degree. Deputy Bowden respond ed to a Partridge Drive residence in reference to burglary. Based on state ments from two parties, Haynes was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail. Melissa Leigh Basko, of Mobile Avenue, Albany, was charged with probation violation. Deputy Harris was dis patched to North Slappy Blvd., Albany in refer ence to a wanted person. Deputy Harris made contact with an ADDU investigator and Basko. A check of Basko’s information revealed an outstanding warrant. The Lee County deputy took custody of Basko and placed her under arrest. She was transported to the Lee County Jail for booking. Jonathan Robert Sher man, of Oliver Drive, Albany, was charged with possession of controlled substance, brake light standards, and driving while un licensed. Deputy Hall saw a vehicle in which the driver may not have been wearing a seat belt. The deputy then noticed that the center brake light was inoperable and initiated a traffic stop. The deputy made con tact with Sherman and placed him under arrest for the listed charges. Roy Lester Pittman, of Apache Drive, Leesburg, was charged with failure to appear - terroristic threats. Deputy Brann was dispatched in refer ence to someone walk ing down the roadway with his pants hanging low exposing his back side. The deputy made contact with Pittman. Pittman explained to the deputy that his pants had a hole in them, but that he was wear ing shorts underneath them. A GCIC check of Pittman’s information showed that he had an active warrant.
