Justice Will Prevail By Charles Harris Pastor, Beattie Road Church of Christ The cry of injustice can never be ignored in heaven. Cain may have thought that the kill ing of his brother was nothing, but the real ity is that the blood of Abel was crying out to heaven for justice! What a lesson every person on earth must know. There is no such thing as injus tice that God does not punish in His own time. When the Jews left Egypt, even before they got to Mt. Sinai, they were attacked by the Amalekites (Exodus 17). This was the occasion when the Jews were delivered because of the uplifted hands of Moses appealing to God for His help. At that time, God told Moses to write this in a book so that men would know that God remembered what the Amalekites had done and that God would utterly destroy them for what they had done. It is likely that most forgot this event, but God’s nature would never let injustice remain unan swered. It was more than 400 years before Saul fulfilled God’s words (1 Sam uel 15). God rewards in His own time. Jesus’ parable in Mat thew 21 should be stud ied and fully understood by students of the Bible. It concerns the vineyard and those husbandmen who refused to give the fruit of the vineyard to the owner of the vine yard. He finally sent his son, thinking that they would not mock, beat or kill him, like they had done to those who first came. The Jews, at first, did not comprehend the parable and that the application concerned God, the prophets and His Son. They unknow ingly pronounced their own destiny when they said that the owner of the vineyard would miserably destroy those wicked men. God had been patient with the Jews for 1,500 years as they killed the prophets and even waited forty years after they killed the Son. As proph esied in Mat thew 24, in the year AD 70 He brought great tribulation, but He did it in His own time. One cannot read his tory without seeing the truth that God will turn into hell every nation which forgets Him (Psalm 9:17). We once proclaimed we wanted to be one nation under God, but our sins cry out against us announcing we want to be a nation out from under God! We must remember that He is not mocked and what ever we sow we shall reap (Galatians 6:7). If the sins of Sodom had to be dealt with by God, how much greater our sins of immorality! If the blood of Abel cried out to God for justice, how much more the over 50,000,000 aborted Charles Harris Results, from page 1B 12, 2019 (Friday night): Danny Wall (Leesburg, GA)=58:10 (Male, 75- 79=lst) Brenda Gail Wall (Leesburg, GA)=l:07:41(Female, 65-69=3rd) 8K (5 Miles) at Fort- son 4-H Center, Hamp ton, GA, on July 13, 2019 (Saturday morn ing): Danny Wall (Leesburg, GA)=1:09:59 (Male, 75- 79=lst) Brenda Gail Wall (Leesburg, GA)=1:22:36 (Female, 65-69=3rd) 2019 Collins Dixon Bend Your Knees 5K in Canton, GA, on July 20, 2019 (Saturday morning) results: Danny Wall (Leesburg, GA)=38:48.8 (Male, 75-Over=2nd) Brenda Gail Wall (Leesburg, GA.)=48:22.0 (Female, 65-69=3rd) 2019 12 Days of Christmas (in July) 9K/10.1K in Various Locations on July 16, 2019 (Tuesday) - July 18, 2019 (Thursday): 9K (5.58 Miles) on July 16, 2019 (Tuesday) results: Danny Wall (Leesburg, GA.)=1:12:04 (Male, 75- 79=2nd) Brenda Gail Wall (Leesburg, GA.)=1:42:29 (Female, 65-69=3rd) 10.IK (6.26 Miles) on July 18, 2019 (Thursday) results: Danny Wall (Leesburg, GA.)=1:24:07 (Male, 75- 79=2nd) Brenda Gail Wall (Leesburg, GA.)=1:58:29 Legals, from page 2B IN THE PROBATE COURT COUNTY OF LEE STATE OF GEORGIA IN RE: DYLLAN CHASE JONES, MINOR ESTATE NO. 2019-122 Date of second publication: August 7, 2019 TO: Father, unknown address You are hereby notified that Karen Collins has filed a Petition seeking to be appointed temporary guardian of the above-named mi nor. July 31 & Aug. 7 American children! There is coming a day in which all will be judged (2 Corinthians 5:10). Are you ready for that day? Friend, don’t be deceived in thinking that God will overlook your sin. He will not! Rejoice that through His Son, God has made a way of salvation pos sible. The Bible teaches that if one believes that Jesus is the Son of God, repents of his sin, and is baptized, the blood of Jesus will then wash all his sins away (John 8:24; 2 Peter 3:9; Mark 16:16; Acts 22:16). Justice is His nature. Every transgression and disobedience will receive just recompense (Hebrews 2:3). The fact that it does not happen immediately means nothing. God deals with it in His own time!
