Trojans Set To Defend Title
By Steve Glover
Touchdown Club
Your Lee County
Trojans will open their
regular season in the
scond annual Hamp
Smith Classic. This is
a joint venture between
Lee County and Alba
ny to celebrate the the
legendary ASU Coach
Hamp Smith. Last year
we were able to shake
off some early mistakes
to move on to a lopsided
victory. But we have
lost a lot of great players
from last year’s team
and this group will be
fighting for their own
place in Lee County
history.
Lee County will be
led this year by what
potentially could be the
most talented offense in
Lee County history. Kyle
Toole (Troy University)
will be the leader of this
offense this year again
after returning from a
junior season in which
he passed for over 3300
yards, with 34 touch
downs and only two
interceptions, and led
us to a 15 - 0 record. He
will have a lot of talent
around him, includ
ing his favorite target
Chauncey Magwood
(6’0”, 187 lbs) who has
multiple D1 offers.The
talented reciever will
also see time on defense.
The running back
position will be another
strength this year with
the return of running
backs Preston Sim
mons (5’6” 187 lbs) and
Christian Lrazier (5’9”,
187 lbs). The WR crew
is full of young play-
