They became the proud new owners of a 4 bedroom/2 bath home in Leesburg. The couple applied for the Habitat home in June of last year, and were no tified they were selected to receive the home in December. The family invested over 300 vol unteer hours, to include painting and landscap ing, helping to get the home ready. Welcome to Leesburg Perez Family!! Guests are asked to be there by 5:45 pm. The meeting will end promptly at 7:45 pm. The library closes at 8:00pm. Republican officials are excited to announce that they will have Steven Rollins as a guest speak er. Steven is the Chair man of the Albany Area Friends of the NRA and a Patriot Life Benefactor Member of the NRA. The remainder of the time will be dedicated to a forum between the three Republican candi dates who qualified for the State Representative seat for District 152. Dis trict 152 represents three counties: Lee County, Sumter County, and Worth County. There will be a special election held on November 5, 2019. Republican candidates invited to attend are Bill Yearta, Jim Quinn, and Tyler Johnson. Coffee and pastries will be provided during the meeting and they will also provide bottled water. Come out on October 10, and get to know the three Republican Candi dates and be confident in Lee County 911 Dispatchers Now Providing Emergency Medical Dispatch Special to the Ledger As of Thursday, Sep tember 19, 2019, all Lee County 911 dispatchers are Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certi fied. Lee County E-911 dispatchers will now be able to guide callers through medical emer gencies. Dispatchers completed an intensive online training, along with a written exam and a simulated call, to obtain their certification in Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD). Now when citizens call 911 in Lee County for emer gencies such as a heart attack, seizure, or a patient not breathing, the dispatcher will be able to provide step-by-step instructions to callers experiencing medical emergencies in order to keep the patient stable until Lee County Fire and Emergency Ser vices personnel arrive. These steps will help assist Fire & EMS with immediate patient care. “We are very excited to bring this service to the citizens of this county. We would also like to say thank you to our citizens for supporting SPLOST. It is with first time a service such as this has been offered in Lee County. their support that we can provide services such as EMD,” says Lee County E-911 Coordinator Nikkie Celinski. “We are grateful to have a 911 Center that is proactive in continu ing in their educa tion to help our re sponding units and our citizens,” says Fire Chief David Forrester.
