The library is located at 245 Walnut Avenue, South in Leesburg. The agenda for the meeting will consist of having a Special Election for the party positions of Secretary & Treasurer, as well as details of the “Spirit of Christmas” parade in December. The meeting will start at 6 p.m. and end promptly at 7:45 p.m. Team Impact Pythagorean Theorem & Playground Lesson Special to the Ledger On Thursday, October 17, LCMS West’s Team Impact embraced the first of fall weather with a Pythagorean Theo rem lesson outdoors. They combined this with a playground demo day. Students and staff cleaned up, prepared, and marked off the school’s future playground site (using right angles, of course). They were also fortunate enough to have Lee County School Sys tem’s Plant Operations Manager Franklin Rash take the time to come and speak with the team about building proce dures and regulations. Even Principal John Savelle got his hands dirty! It was hard work, but it will all be worth it! Tabitha is Lee County Animal Shelter’s Pet of the week. She came in the shelter the middle of October. Tabitha is an adult about 2 years old. She is deClawed front & back. We know she had to be someone’s baby; but was never reclaimed. We Lend A Hand! 11 Permits Issued For New Homes In October Special to the Ledger During the month of October 20196, the Lee County Building Permit Office issued 11 permits for single family dwell ings. Ten permits were issued in the unincorpo rated area of Lee County and one in Leesburg for single family houses. The estimated con struction cost of the ten homes in the unincorpo rated area of Lee County was $1,183,434.00. During October, two permits were issued for mobile homes in the un incorporated area of Lee County. The estimated cost of the mobile homes were $165,980,.00. During October, five residential demolition permits were issued in the unincorporated area of Lee County. Other permits issued in the incorporated area of Lee County included two accessory permit building permits, eight residential addition and alteration, three ga rage/carport residential permits, one commercial accessory permit, 16 electrical permits, 15 plumbing permits, 25 heating and air permits, two gas permits and two renewal & reinspect permits. In Leesburg, one permit was issued for a single family dwelling. The estimated construc tion cost of the house was $179,000.00. In Leesburg, one per mit was issued for pools & signs. Also three permits were issued for residential addition & alterations, three per mits for electrical, four plumbing and three heating & air permits. In Smithville, during October one permit was issued for residential addition and alteration. One plumbing permit was issued in Smithville during October.
