Happy HoUdays Jrom... Lee County Schools CCRPI Something to Celebrate The people of Lee County have a lot to proud of when it comes to our schools’ CCRPI scores. The Georgia Department of Educa tion recently released the 2019 College and Career Readiness Performance Index (CCRPI) scores for each public school and school district. “CCRPI is a compre hensive school improve ment, accountability, and communication platform for all educa tional stakeholders that will promote college and career readiness for all Georgia public school students” according the state education agency. CCRPI is in effect a report card for schools and school systems. The Atlanta Journal Consti tution reports that state wide CCRPI showed a drop for elementary and middle school perfor mance and an increase for high school. You can search for CCRPI results at the school and district level by visiting: https://www.gadoe.org/ CCRPI/Pages/default. aspx . How did the Lee County School System do? Lee County Schools did very well on CCRPI. All eight schools made improvements. Seven of the eight schools saw an increase in their overall score. Teachers and leaders drill down on performance data to learn how we can improve instruction and provide a better educa tion for students. As we look at the data, one of the things we do is make comparisons with other school districts across the state. Lee County Schools ranked 15th of 181 school systems in Georgia based on district CCRPI. Lee County is the highest performing school system in South west Georgia. Lee Coun ty had the third highest district score below Ma con and the eighth high est among large school systems (4000 or more students). Lee Coun ty schools improved CCRPI scores at all three levels elementary, middle, and high school. This is great news about our schools and a strong indicator of student success. Lee County Schools’ performance on the 2019 CCRPI is a testimony to the ded ication of Lee County teachers and staff. Lee County Schools CCRPI scores are something to celebrate!
