The Mabreys Love Christmas And It Shows The Mabreys’ home located at 119 Browning Court is a Christmas paradise. From the front curb throughout the back yard and on top the house, Christmas lights are everywhere. Describing the lights, Rod Mabrey explained that they started about 20 years ago and every year things just started growing. They add a couple of new things ev ery year as well as get ting rid of what cannot be repaired for the next. They love Christmas and love spreading holi day cheer to their neigh borhood and friends. Rod Mabrey said that it is his favorite time of the year. For years, he and his oldest son put up the lights by them selves and he said it was definitely a Griswald experience. But over the past 10 years at his cur rent address, it became too much for the two of them. As a contractor and owner of Quality Painting Contractors and Mabrey Contrac tors, he is fortunate to have extra help. Not count ing endless hours that Rod Mabrey spends fine tuning everything during the week. They have about 300 plus extension cords and 9 computer boxes with hundreds and hundreds of outputs just for the computer lights that go with the music that have to be plugged into the correct area and output to run the program. The back yard is also decorated. The bushes all around the house have lights and all the soffits etc. They have 10 songs that play with the lights. Small Christmas trees, big Christmas trees, arches, star burst, strobe lights, nativity scene, Santa clauses etc. They have several LED animated displays and lots more. Mr. Mabrey said, “It is a job and it takes a lot of work but once done, it is very rewarding and see ing cars lined up every night and kids coming around at night on golf carts just makes it worth it.” He has been told by some parents that their children think he is San ta Claus. On the roof is the most important light and display of all to Ron Mabrey. It is a display with a blinking cross and says in bold red letters KEEP CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS! The lights and they run until the end of December from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. - seven days a week. 8 10499 02456 8 BANK OF LEE COUNTY & BANK OF TERRELL ARE EXCITED TO DO BUSINESS UNDER OUR NEW NAME Georgia Community Bank New Name.
