Page 8A, The Lee County Ledger, Wednesday, December 25,2019 Qualifying Fees For 2020 Election Cycle Set During the county commission meeting Tuesday, December 10, the qualifying fees for the 2020 election cycle was approved. The commissioners set the qualifying fees for 2020 election cycle which is three percent of the total gross salary of the office paid in the preceding year. County offices to be filled in the 2020 calendar year include three members of the Lee County Commission (Districts 2, 4 and 5), sheriff, chief magistrate, probate judge, clerk of superior court,tax commissioner, coroner and three members of the Lee County Board of Education (District 2, 4 and 5). The qualifying fee for the county com mission is $186.25. The qualifying fee for sheriff is $1,779.86. The qualifying fee for the chief magistrate is $1,491.65. The qualify ing fee for the probate judge is $1,491.65. The qualifying fee for the clerk of superior court is $1,491.65. The qualify ing fee for the tax com missioner is $1,491.65. The qualifying fee for the coroner is $135.06. The qualifying fee for the members of the Lee County Board of Educa tion is $18.00.
