WHEREAS, on January 5th,
1932, W. A. Keith did execute to
H. N. & A. S. Doss, a Deed to se-
cure debt to the following des-
cribed land, to-wit:
“Lying and being in the 14th
District and 2nd Section of said
County, and being lots of land
Nos. 172, containing 160 acres,
more or less, and all of lot 191,
lying North of the old road leading
into the Chamblee old mill pro-
perty containing 100 acres, more
or less; Also part of lot No. 190,
beginning at the wash place north-
east of the barn of Henry Wilkie,
thence running South to the East
and West original line of Lot 190,
thence following old East and West
line East to a corner stone, which
is the Southeast corner of Lot
190, between land of Grantor and
H. G. Vandiviere, thence running
North along original line between
lots Nos. 190 and 207 to the spring
branch in a Westernly direction to
starting point, containing 25 ac-
res, more or less. The entire tract
containing 285 acres, more or less.”
To secure a note of even date
for $1161.65.
WHEREAS, on March 7th, 1938,
H. N. & A. S. Doss transferred
said note and Deed to Melinda Ro
berts.
WHEREAS, said note has be-
come in default and there is a ba
lance due this date of $1741.45, af
ter deducting credits.
NOW THEREFORE, according to
the original terms of said security
Deed and the law in such cases,
made and provided, the undersign-
ed will expose for sale to the high-
est bidder the above described pro
perty on the First Tuesday of
November, 1939, between the legal
hours for sale, before the Court
House door, and the proceeds for
sale shall first be applied to the
payment of said note and expenses,
and the balance, if any, to be de-
livered to the owners of the equity.

the office of the Clerk of the
Superior Court of Cherokee Coun
ty, Georgia in Deed Book 2, Page
210, to which said recorded plat
and survey reference is hereby
made for a more detailed descrip-
tion of said property herein con-
veyed.
The Deed referred to above, was
given to secure an indebtedness of
THREE THOUSAND ($3,000.00)
DOLLARS, payable at the rate of
$30.63 per month, beginning on
the first day of January, 1939, and
provides for the acceleration of
the maturity of the entire indebted
ness should the grantor fail to
perform any covenant, or agree-
ment, set forth in said deed, or
the note secured thereby, at the
option of the grantee or assigns,
the said ARTHUR L. CAGLE has
defaulted in the payment of the
monthly payments and the under-
signed has declared the entire in
debtedness due and payable, and
said sale will be made for the
purpose of paying the balance of
$3,043.44 due on principal and in-

1938, J. G. White issued to South-
land Ice Company, a deed to se-
cure a debt, to the following des-
cribed property, to-wit:
"One house and lot located on
Old Marietta Road in the City of
Canton, Georgia, known as the
J. G. White home place, said lot
being bounded on the East by Olin
Fincher property, on the North
by the Olin Fincher property, on
the West by M. J. White proper-
ty and on the South by the Old
Marietta Road. Said lot extend-
ing from the interesction of Olin
Fincher property with old Marietta
Road in a Northernly direction ap
proximately 150 feet, thence in a
Westernly direction for approxi-
mately 70 feet to line of M. J.
White property, thence in a South-
ernly direction for approximately
150 feet along line of M. J. White
property to Old Marietta Road,
thence along this road in an East-
ernly direction for approximately
70 feet.”
Which was to secure certain in
debtedness, the balance due of
which is now $1550.00 Principal,
with interest at the rate of 8 per-
cent per annum from February
24th, 1938.
AND WHEREAS, the said J. G.
White is in default as to principal
and interest.
NOW THEREFORE, according
to the original terms of the said
security deed and the laws in such
case made and provided, the un-
dersigned will expose for sale to
the highest bidder for cash, said
property on the 1st Tuesday in
November, 1939, between the legal
hours of sale and before the Court
House Door for said County. The
proceeds from said sale to be used
first in the payment of said prin
cipal, interest, taxes and expen-
ses, and the balance, if any, to be
held subject to distribution to the
Southland Ice Company and the
Cherokee Sales Company, the hol-
ders of second deeds on said pro
perty.

ton was off sides on the play but
Dalton refused the penalty.
A left end run went for no gain.
Again Souther took the ball and
went off tackle 15 yards for the
3rd Dalton touchdown. The place
ment was blocked by Goss and the
score stood: Dalton 22, Canton 7.
Dalton kicked off to Canton and
Goss took the ball on his own 20
and returned it 10 to the Canton
were ejected from the game for
unsportsmanlike conduct. Chat
ham went into the game for Can-
ton. Garner passed on the next
play but it was no good. Bell
punted to the Dalton 20 yard line
and when a Dalton back fumbled
the ball, Bell recovered for Canton
on the Dalton 29. 1st and 10 for
Canton.
Goss fumbled on the first play
for a 10 yard loss, 2nd and 29.
Garner’s pass was knocked down.
Goss passed on the next play but
Bates intercepted the pass and re-
turned it to the Canton 48 yard
line.
An off tackle play went for 8
yards. Four line plays made it
a 1st down on the Canton 22 yard
line and the game ended on the
last play.

Dalton and the hard tackling by
Goss of Canton.

spinner Garner handed the ball to
Curtis who passed but the ball was
batted down. Another pass Gar-
