PAGE EIGHT NORTH GEORGIA TRIBUNE FRIDAY, OCT. 27, 1939 Think o’ That (Continued from page 1) Fred Wilbanks has added enough lands to his game preserve area to make 20,000 acres. It will be pro- tected until ready and then will be hunted as a club under proper sup- ervision. Part of he lands have been pro- tected now for more than a year. The area, lying along the Etowah River in Southwest Cherokee, is stocked with every small wild game that appears in this region. Mr. Wilbanks plans some sort of club arrangements, probably with a caretaker who will furnish meals, dogs and hunting guides at so much per day. After another year of protection the area should be rich in dove, quoil, squirrel, rabbit and other game. KPAWT SPECIAL CO SHERWIN-WILLIA ENAMELOID Clothes Come Back To You Cleaner, Fresher — Better from MODEL RAMBLIN’ Continued from Page 1 with a crowd that looked about the same class as myself and figured there was so many they could not be going anywhere but the fair. “But sorry to relate after rid- ing an hour, and getting off with the bunch, found I was following an evangelist with a crowd of con- verts headed to the beach for a baptizing, so gave that up started out again with another bunch which wound up at a church in the Bronx at a funeral. "After this decided to be a bit more careful, so caught another subway marked ‘direct to World's Fair grounds.' (Didn't read the rest which caid direct to the fair grounds via Times Square and Queens Plaza) and wound up at Bronx Park. This about had me buffaloed, but decided to display my ignoranace and ask a native. Said he had lived here all his life but did not know the way himself. "Since have found out all I have to do is to catch a subway and ride direct there for five cents. This shows it is better for the country boy from North Georgia to stay in his own territory, where at least he can't get lost. "Of course in my young days I never dreamed of seeing the many things that have taken place since the days of ‘long ago', but when it is all said there is nothing of this to be taken with you on the long journey in the Beyond. "While out there visited the dis- play of ‘Strange as it Seems,' by Hix, which I sometimes see in your paper, and the things that you pub- lish are there to be looked at. Did not get to visit the Georgia exhib- it, as could not find it in so little time. To my mind Florida has the best out of the state exhibits., and having visited over all the state don't find it much exaggerated. “About the worst thing I have to say about the fair is the fact that they sent us arund to San Francisco to build the Island for that fair and then sent us up here to see this one, which I call a pretty mean trick.
