Third Quarter
Canton kicked off. Fain’s kick
traveled to the Winder 35 where
it was first and 10 for Winder. In
three plays Canton had the ball on
the Winder 20 yard line by virtue
of a blocked punt on third down,
two previous line plays having fail
ed to gain.
Canton picked up seven yards on
an off tackle slant. Fain started

1932, W. A. Keith did execute to
H. N. & A. S. Doss, a Deed to se-
cure debt to the following des-
cribed land, to-wit:

Nos. 172, containing 160 acres,
more or less, and all of lot 191,
lying North of the old road leading
into the Chamblee old mill pro
perty containing 100 acres, more
or less; Also part of lot No. 190,

thence running South to the East
and West original line of Lot 190,
thence following old East and West
line East to a corner stone, which
is the Southeast corner of Lot
190, between land of Grantor and

res, more or less. The entire tract

The said property being sold by
the undersigned as the property
of Mrs. Mary L. McRee, deceased,
and her estate, and is for the pur
pose of paying the debts of said
estate and distribution among the
heirs of said deceased.

Curtis dove through center for
seven yards and Fain bucked the
remaining two yards for the touch-
down. Goss ran left end to add the
extra point.
Canton 21, Winder 0.
Fain kicked off for Canton and
the Winder receiver returned five
yards to the Winder 35. A center
buck was good for six yards. An
other line buck gained six yards but
Winder fumbled and Canton recov-i
ered on the Winder 42 .
Goss tried a long pass but it |
went incomplete. Garner around
left end to the Winder 20. On this
play, however, Goss was caught
holding and Canton was penalized
15 yards to their own 45. 2nd down
and 25 to go for Canton.

herein conveyed, made by L. C.
Sawyer, C. E. on July 26, 1938,
is on file in the records of
the office of the Clerk of the
Superior Court of Cherokee Coun
ty, Georgia in Deed Book 2, Page
210, to which said recorded plat
and survey reference is hereby
made for a more detailed descrip
tion of said property herein con
veyed.
The Deed referred to above, was
given to secure an indebtedness of
THREE THOUSAND ($3,000.00)
DOLLARS, payable at the rate of
$30.63 per month, beginning on
the first day of January, 1939, and
provides for the acceleration of
the maturity of the entire indebted-

WHEREAS, on February 24th,
1938, J. G. White issued to South
land Ice Company, a deed to se
cure a debt, to the following des-
cribed property, to-wit:
“One house and lot located on
Old Marietta Road in the City of
Canton, Georgia, known as the
J. G. White home place, said lot
being bounded on the East by Olin
Fincher property, on the North
by the Olin Fincher property, on
the West by M. J. White proper
ty and on the South by the Old
Marietta Road. Said lot extend
ing from the interesction of Olin
Fincher property with old Marietta
Road in a Northernly direction ap
proximately 150 feet, thence in a
Westernly direction for approxi
mately 70 feet to line of M. J.
White property, thence in a South-
ernly direction for approximately
150 feet along line of M. J. White
Garner gained seven yards at
the line. Curtis passed a flat heave
over center to Goss, who dashed 40
yards for a touchdown. Extra point
was again good.
Canton 28, Winder 0.
Fain kicked off to Winder and the
boot was caught on the Winder
20 and returned to the 25. Winder
attempted a lateral, which was
fumbled and Curtis recovered for
Canton on the Winder 15. Garner
spun off tackle on the next play
for a touchdown. The point was no
good.
Canton 34, Winder 0.
Coach Hansard sent in a number
of subs before Fain kicked off. The
kick sailed to the Winder 25 and
was returned to the Winder 35. A
pass tried by the Barrow eleven
was incomplete. Another flat pass
over center gained 12 yards and a
first down. A line buck lost a yard.
Two passes, the first incomplete,
gained seven yards. Winder carried
the ball to the Canton 45 for a first
down on the next play. The quart
er ended on the next play with the
ball in Winder possession on
Canton

46 yard line.
NOW THEREFORE, according to
the original terms of said security
Deed and the law in such cases,
made and provided, the undersign
ed will expose for sale to the high
est bidder the above described pro
perty on the First Tuesday of
November, 1939, between the legal
hours for sale, before the Court
House door, and the proceeds for
sale shall first be applied to the
payment of said note and expenses,
and the balance, if any, to be de
livered to the owners of the equity.

gave the Greenies the ball on their
own 46. Hughes, at quarterback,
got 8 through tackle. Hughes ran
again to make a first down on the
Winder 44. Canton fumbled on the
next play and Winder recovered
on the Canton 45.
Winder got four at right end and
Canton was penalized 15 yards for
holding. 1 1st and 10 for Winder on
the Canton 30. Winder pulled ai
nice end run on the next play that
gained twenty yards and put the
ball on the Canton 10.
A line plunge gained a yard.
Winder lost two yards on another
end run. Bona Payne was through
the offense on the play and broke
it up. A third down pass was no
good and aonther heave went in-
complete and the ball went over
to Canton on the 11 yard line.
Hughes gained 3 yards but both
sides were offside and the play was
called back. Hughes punted to the
Canton 30. Winder’s ball. A pass
was incomplete. Another Winder
pass was good for ten yards and
a first down on the Canton 20.
Coach Hansard’s starting lineup
then went back in the game. Win
der gambled on a long fourth down
pass and it was good giving the
Barrow boys a first down on the
Canton five yard line. 1st down and
goal to go. Weatherly, Winder|
back, went off tackle for the touch-
down. The extra point was good.
Canton 34, Winder 0.
Winder kicked to the Canton 32
and Curtis returned 13 yards to the
Greenie 45. Goss got 14 yards and
a first down. Garner’s pass to Goss
lost two yards. Another Canton
pass went incomplete as the game
ended.
