Negro Killed.
Vine Coley colored, became in*
volved in u dlliculty with Muck
and Frank Cone, two other negroes
at a negro dinner on Mr. T. J.
Scarborough’s place near Tippett-
ville last Friday. The dispute
arose over changing tome money.
The two Cone negroes were wrest
ling with the Coley negro, but it
was impossible lor tbb, coroner’s
jury to secure any evidence as to
which one or who did the shooting
Coroner Joseph Graham went
down Saturday morning and held
an inquest over the dead body.
The jury was composed of T. J.
Scarborough, Foreman: R L. Scar
borough, W B Locke, \V J Locke,
VV R Martin, and Will Angelly,
Their verdict was: “We the jury
find that Vine Gdle$’ came to his
death by a pistol allot in the hands
qf an unknown party
