MARVELOUS
A Musical Alligator.
A saurian about four feet long, cap
,Ul - ed in the sfreets of Eustis, Flu., by
Dan AVarner, a baker, exhibits re
markable genius. He will, after the
iread has been taken from the pans
n thebakeshop, take the utensils and
[tile them in the corner as neatly as a
boy could do it. The first trick lie
learned was to stand on his tail and
hind feet.' It is pathetic to see him
as he assumes the position and crosses
his forefeet over his breast, awaiting
the loaf which is given him as a re
ward for his skill. He is very fond
of cider, and it was found necessary
to remove the barrel, as he learned to
turn the faucet and get a drink, but
left the fluid running. The music of
a baud pleases him hugely, and he
will be in front of the hand room
every practice night until the last
note ceases.—New York 1’rcss.
