Tiie Sawyer Sunday Blocks and
Cards. For sale by L. E. Kline,
1100, Olive street, St. Louis, Mb.
Complete set of 24 blocks, $1.50.
Cards, SOcts.
How shall we interest the children
on Sunday and yet preset vo in their
minds a proper regard for the sanctity
of the day? This is the question
which troubles many a pious parent.
These blocks and cards answer the
question fully and satisfactorily.
There are 24 blocks, 3x4 inches in
size, with a picture on each side and
edges bound with an original desigu
of bordering pictures in 14 diflerent
colors. The bli iks are all numbered
and illustrate beautifully the Story of
Joseph. The poems are admirably
well prepared and beautifully adapted
to the subject. The cards a>-e forty-
eight in number and are prepared
in the most highly finished manner
and illustrates the same story as the
blocks. The cards and blocks repre
sent tho work of Mrs. II. A. Sawyer,
of St. Louis, Mo. They nrc calculat
ed to thrill the children with interest
and at the same time to fix in their
minds Bible facts which every child
should know. We have not seen any
thing we like better. We are pre
pared to commend the work of Mrs.
Sawyer in the highest terms. She has
proved herself to be a benefactress
and no words of praise can adequately
express the merit of her labor.
The above is from a St. Louis pa
per, the home of Mrs. Sawyer. Ev
ery one will he making the little ones
a present during the holidays. Mrs.
Sawyer’s works will be found on sale
at Reid & Culpepper’s. The beauti
ful story, so simply and sweetly told,
should be in every household where
there are children.
