London, March 31.—The Eller- man line steamship “Flamlnian,” bound from Glasgow to Cape Town, South Africa, with a general cargo, was sunk off Schllly Isles, March 29th, presumably by a German sub marine, said an Admiralty state ment Issued here this morning. It was later learned that the members of the Flaminlan's crew were saved, having reached a port of safety. , It was learned this afternoon that the Flamlnian was sunk by the Ger man submarine U-28. ' Cardiff reported this afternoon that the British steamship "Crown of Castile" was also torpedoed and sunk this morning in the English Channel.
