Smith-Harley Shoe Co., Citizens Rank and Mallard-Varnedoe Co. People are reveling in the bracing cold spell, which started Sunday night. The days have been clear and sunshiny, and tho unusual cold has not been felt seriously. It Is great weather for Christmas shop ping and all of the stores in the city carrying Christmas goods were busy this morning. : H is stated that the oat crop plant ed in Thomas county this Fall will be larger than ever before.
