Notice Is nereby given that sealed
proposals for repairing and improv
ing all editing public bridges in tbe
connty, and for building inch new
brldgos ' as may be ordered to be
built by tbe proper authorities of tbe
connty during tbe year 100S, will be
.received by tbe Board of Commis
sioners of Roads and Revenue up to
and Including tbe 1st' Tuesday in
February, 1908. At which time all
proposals submitted will be opened,
und tho contracts awarded to tbe
lowest and best bidder; the Board re
serving, however, the right to re
fect any and' all bids; or to appor
tion the contracts among such bid

may consider advantageous to the
public.

A Graham, tha New York brokers,
against T. D. and T. S. Philips, weU-
known lumbermen of Tift county.
The caae was the famous case
which came up at the last term of
the federal court, Involving the val
idity of the New Tork Exchange’s
contract*, the Messrs Philips refusing
to stand np to their contracts and
were sued by Bailey A Graham, who
were given a verdict
Judge Speer issued an order that
an execution against the sureties on
the supersedeas bond be Issued if the
amount of the verdict is not paid by
the flrat of January, with Interest,
etc.
Mr. Bailey of (he abore Is our well
known winter resident.
