While there does not seem to bVany special necessity In Tbomntville for this law at this time; there may be In the near future and as n precaution It Is and will be prohibitive. The sentiment ot tha town Is against the locker dubs almost unanimously and they will welcome this license. It was rumored that one was to be I put In here and very soon, on ac count of the fact that there was no license In the city prohibiting K. It was probably this rumor that in fluenced the action of the elty fath ers on the matter. The state It pro-, hlbitlon and tbe town has been eo for many Veara. It has prospered and grown without the peetlferious stuff, there Is no reason why this will ot go on to even greater height*. No one of sound mind and Judge ment will thick that locker dube will Increase the population of the town or bring any Industries here neither do they think that the people cannot get along Just as Veil without them. While tbe ordinance has only been ordered read the second time end will come up for action at tbe next meeting there In every reason to-Be- lleve that It will pass unanimously aa all the councilman have expressed themselves In favor of it A leap in time will save n Ufa alone (maybe.)
