Jones. He bad been attending at the fair grounds the amateur races conducted at that place, in company with some friends. After the affair waa finished he and Vfr. Tom Jonea were approaching the buggy, in which they were to return home. Mr. Jones had gotten within a few feet of the vehicle when to the absolute dismay of those standing around he was seen to very suddenly fall to the ground. Friends rushed to pick him up and messengers were Immediately dis patched for a physician, but in a very few minutes life was extinct. Death was due to a stroke of apoplexy, from which he never regained con sciousness.
