N. Segler. POLICE MATINEE. UNIQUE BURGLARS. Death of Negro Convict, negro convict, named Dave Mitchell, died yesterday In the fall here from pneumonia. Dave lived about four mllea east of Thomaavllle on the Boiton Road. He was sen fenced to the gang oa tbres charg es, receiving a total sentence ot twenty-nine month*. The Mayor at the session of Po lice Court Monday affernooto dis patched the cases before him with rapidity. There were very few, but those tried plead guilty and witness es had to be examined. Will Carroll and Red Warren were each fined ten and coat for disorderly conduct, to which cbsge they plead not guilty. Anthony Brown for violating tha hack ordinance which ttys that no hacks shall do business after they have been turned down by tbs Marsh al. This Anthony proceeded to do with Impunity and It cose him two fifty and cost. Walter Higdon for. riding a bicycle without a lantern was also fined five and cost. Rach ael Anderson and Robert Span botb became envolved In fight* and ecrapi of disorderly nature and the Mayor fined both ten and cost. Finding nothing of further use them they went all over the place, trampling the garden, climbing fene ea Into the back lot and around to the front of the bouse. Mr. CUy awoke next morning to find that all the mule* belonging to the eonnty were loose and not Jn the lot. They were evidently very well satisfied with their happy home tor they did not stray but a few yards and war* easily brought back.
