CENTRAL DECLARED DIVIDEND.
Savannah, Ga.. May 14.—At the
meeting of Ihe directors of the Cen
tral of Georgia Railway yesterday a
semi-annual dividend of three per
cent was declared on tho preferred
stock, payable June 30th.

Chattanooga. Twin.. May 14.—With
in a few days large forces of men will
begin putting up decorations which
are to greet the Confederate veterans,
wlm assemble in annual reunion here
May 27-20 and will incidentally cele
brate the semi centennial of the bat-

of putting up thousands of extra
fights throughout the business dis
trict will begin about tin- same time.
When the first visitors arrive, Chat-
•anooga will he a brilliant scene, with
Confederate flags, bunting, pictures
on canvass of the famous Confederate
g nerals, and other appropriate ma
terials flaunting in every breeze; at
night, the entire downtown section
'ablaze with myriad lights, those.of
I" rmanent character and specially
erected for the occasion, in large
numbers, adding to Ihe gaiety and
briliance of the scene. Aside from
the strings of light along the side
walk. many buildings will be com
pletely outlined with streamers of
lights as there is widespread interest

the tents are up. the big dining room

Department during the reunion. The
western lines having succumbed
