One of th- most interesting parts ot
the conference proceedings i* the ex
amination of the superannuated
preachers. As the name of each is
called, his presiding elder reports
whether there is anything against
him. Then the superannuate, if
present, is called upon for a state
ment, As the veterans tell of their
spiritual and temporal coi dilion, of
their trials, their joys, t! eir hopes
and their conflicts, the younger ones
listen with eagerness and often with
eyes suffused with tears. The elo
quence of pathos and of truth is in
their speeches, and the intiiu-ncc on
the conference is good.
One of the most interesting state
ments was made by Rev. Claiborne

There is CQthing on the free of the earth liable to deeny or spoil which OZONE,* the new Preserva-

The value of OZONE as a natural preserver, has been known to our abler chemists for yean, but until
now no means of producing it in a practical, inexpensive, and simple manner Mire been discovered.
Microscopic observations prove that decay is due to septic matter, or minute germs that develop and
feed upon animal and vegetable structures. OZONE, applied by the Prentiss method, seises and de
stroys these genus at once, and thus preserves. At our offices in Cincinnati can he seen almost every
article that can be thought of preserved by this process, aud every visitor is welcome to come in,
taste, smell, take away with him, abd test in every way the merits of OZONE ms a preservative. We
will also preserve, free of charge, an}’ article that U brought or sent prepaid to us, and return it to
the sender, tor him to keep aad test. .

Dead human bodies, treated before decomposition sets in, can be held in a natural condition for weeks,

rev. Dr. T. R. Kendall..
The above minister who has been
pastor of tho Methodist church in
Griffin, preached his farewell sermon
last Snnuaj. The News says:
At its conclusion, nearly the en
tire congregation went forward and
shook hands with Dr. Kendall, as an
expression of their regard and a de
sire to have him returned by the con
ference.
The three years of Dr. Kendall’s
pastorale have been a blessing to his
church, and not only to the church,
but to this community, tor it can well
be said that lie has endeared himself
to every man, woman and child
throughout the city. He found his
church languishing in spirit and luke.
warm in its membership. By his
personal magnetism, his strength of
character, a Christian that is pure
and unselfish, an earnest devotion to
hie work and by the grace that is
strong in biin, he has made the
chnrch a living, glowing light..
During his pastorate, two hundred
and fifty new members have been
added to the church. More thrn
this, the church has grown wonder-
fnlly in grace and good works.
