Hew York. March 8.—Regarding tha
torn of affairs in the management of
the Central of Qeorgia, Tha Tribune
baa obtained soma state manta from
members of the Terminal reorganiza
tion committee, and officers of that sys
tem.
They all agreed that ths appointment
of a temporary receiver for the Central
would not interfere with the committee's
efforts to bring oat and prut into opera
tion the plan for the reorganization of
the system. Seme of them went so far
as to assert that the plan had gained
strength because ef the tactics of the
obstructionist*. The motion for the ap
pointment of a permanent receiver will
come up for argument March 14. John
H. Inman, president of the system, said:
"We are not troubled up here over
the receivership, however the matter
may be looked upon in Georgia. I had
a talk today with Mr. Otcott. We have
made no plans yet, bat we shall go on
with our work."
General Samuel Thomas waa quoted
ns saying: "The application amounts
to nothing. The court has appointed
General Alexander but has
taken great care to instruct him not to
do anything a* receiver which wonld in
volve the court in difficulties pet
the ten days, at the end of which time
there would be a hearing in the case.
He has received no property and there
is none for h..m to receive. It it all
piece of moonshine and will he qnickly
disposed of. There is ne intention to
put the Richmond Terminal in the re
ceiver’s hands. The committee ft going
mhead with the reorganization plan.
Reports and the present court proceed
ings have npset some pine here
there, but we are picking them up again,
and soon expect to have the balls roll
ing as before. We cant say just when
the plan will be out. ”
H. C. Maben asserted that the reor
ganization plan had gained strength
through the court proceedings in Geor
gia and the new names ef capitalists
who would enter the proposed syndicate
wonld be given soon.
