Trend For Year
Showing the trend since the
1932 election, of the total votes
cast 459,338 have changed their
minds about Roosevelt., Of those
who voted for Hoover in 1932,
237,452 now vote “yes” for Roose
velt. Of those who voted for
Roosevel in the 1932 election, |
183,782 now vote ‘‘no” on his poli
ciés. Of those who voted for
others than Roosevelt or Huuverl
in 1932, 38,104 now vote ‘yes’ omn
the Roosevelt policies. This gives
the President a net gain of 91,774
or 5.29 percent.
The vote in seventeen major
colleges of ‘the nation shows a
total of 16.203 votes for the ad
ministration ang 9,025 against. It
might be pointed out here, how
ever, that the University of Vir
ginia is the only Southern ml-%
lege *polled, i

clasges, it will thus be seen that
the Roosevelt policies had their
closest call with the «clergy, a
margin of only 47 over the un
faveorable vote. i
