Mr. and Mrs. Swanton Ivey are
building a beputiful home about
four and a haif miles from the
city, which leads off of the Wat
kinsville road, to the left of the
Abney orchard. They have built
a most attractive drive way, which
approaches the attractive two story
house, built of brick, with every
modern conveniance. The three
hundred acres of beautiful grounds
and gorgeous ireeg with a running
branch, add to the charm of this
country estate. Contractors expect
to finish the lovely home by the
first of October or a little later.

spending the summer in New York

Wednesday afternoon at a studio
tea at the Georgian hotel, marking
the opening of her school here for
the ninth season. A short demon
stration program was ‘given by the
members of her group.
Miss Rhyne returned this weex
from an intensive - summer study
in New York and Chicago. Before
going east, Miss Rhyne attended
thee Dance Institute at Camp
Chattooga. While in New York
she appeared in solp numoers on 2
program given by Miss Lucille

50 Persons Injured
When Ferry Lurches
Suddenly With Gale
ROCHESTER, N. Y.—(®)—Fifty
persons were reported injured, sev
era] seriously, when an excursion
ferry suddenly lurched forward as
it was returning to Rochester to
day from a trip on Lake Ontario
Captain Charles E. Redfern said
that when the ferry was about
seven or eight miles off shore a
sudden wind came up and increased
almost to gale velocity. He said
he finally decided to turn back and
that it was while the wvessel was
turning that the accident occur
red.

Dawson, of Oconee Heights, will

in Atlanta the past week. / .
