effectiveness in administration of
government. T -
Dr. Jarrell divided society into
four classes: 1. The type of cap~
italist who lets greed rule his aes
tion. 2, The Communist who cries,
“Be. my brother or I'll shoot yow,
3. The level-headed socialist wha
is interested in the betterment of
his fellowman, and 4. The idealist
who wishes a Utopia. The minis«
ter asserted that the biggest mis
take man has made is his failure
to realize the hideousness of war.
Dr. Jarrell was introduced by
Lion Arthur Oldham.
Secretary W. A. Abercrombie
announced that the Empty Stock
ing Fund, sponsored by the Liohs
and other organizations, netted $3.-
576 in goods and cash for the poor
at Christmas, which were distrib
uted by the Salvation Army.
District Governor W. T. Ray
introduced Reginald C. Harris and
L. W. Harts, special representa
tives from Lions International .who
are visiting here, They announce
that Georgia is leading in the in
ternational céontest in sponsoring
new Lions clubs. Last year Geor
gia won second place and the Ath
eng club was second in the Geor=
gia district. Eleven new. clubs.
have already been organized in
Georgia since the beginning of the
contest year, last July,
District Governor Ray’s work
was highly praised by the visiting
Lions representatives. Discussing
the work of Lions clubs they said:
“It {s the Liong clubs, bringihg
