en at Stern Community
House Friday P.M.
‘“‘Belshazzar,”” a cantata will be
presented at Stern Community
House Friday night at 8:30 o’clock
by the Jewish Student League, and
at the University chapel Monday
morning at 10:30 c'clock, it was an_
nounced today. Rabbi Abr;).ham
Shusterman is leader of the Student
league.
Miss Nolee May Dunaway, or
ganist at the Synagogue and mem
bers of the music faculty at the
University is director of the can
tata. The presentation Friday night
will follow a short prayer service
at the Synagogue.
While a majority of the person
nel of the cantata are Jewish stu
dents, a large number of Christian
students - are taking part. The
cantata is based upon the story of
the “handwriting on the wall” at
the King's feast, as portrayed in
the Book of Daniel of the Bible
After the Friday evening presen
tation refreshmeqts wil be served
