Young People Hold a
*- Picnic; Enjoy Games
The young people of Patterson
Community enjoyed a picnic at
Chandiler's park on the afternoon
of July 381st, at seven o'clock.
Games and music were enjoyed,
and a delicious picnic lunch was
spread.

At Delightful Dinner
One of the loveliest social
events of the week was the din
mer party given by Mrs. J. P.
Knowles, worthy matron of the
Athens Chapter Number 268 O. E.
S. and Mr. W. A. Abercrombie,
worthy patron of the chapter, as
sembling a number of the mem
bers of the chapter who had been
most regular in attendance during
the year. ’
The living room and dining
reom were decorated with a wealth
of gorgeous summer flowers. A
delicious four course dinner was
served, after which the guests en
joyed a spirited game of bridge.
Mrs. Knowles was assisted in en
tertaining by Mrs. Ben Tuck, Mrs.
Louise Lanier and her niece.

home. Although quite a surprise |
to the Atwells, the guests were en- i
thusiastically received and shown
throughout tne house and the gar
den, where punch and cakes were
served, these being included in the
presents to the new house.
The new home is a lovely white\
clapboard house with green blinds. |

tractive stone fire place and the

No. 105 0.E.5., Atlanta, Thursday
evening when “Electa Night” was
observed and the present electas of
the twenty-eight Atlanta chapters
were guests of honor, together with
Mrs. S. B. Adair, present Electa of
Salonia chapter No. 227, O. E. S.
of Athens.

has been under way for several
